Court: Lawyer stays in TV 2 documentary

The court in Odense ruled that lawyer Nicolai Dyhr cannot be edited out of the TV 2 documentary ‘The Black Swan’. This verdict clears TV 2 and Anne Stig Engdal Christensen, its CEO, of any wrongdoing, while Dyhr is ordered to cover the legal costs amounting to 55,000 Danish kroner. Dyhr had requested a ban on the broadcast of hidden recordings of him before the series release and has expressed the desire to either be removed or blurred in the footage, which the court also denied. TV 2 defended the societal importance of the recordings. Dyhr, seen in the documentary discussing questionable business dealings, has denied any illegality and claims he was only establishing trust with Amira Smajic, featured in the undercover footage. Dyhr’s conduct is being investigated by the Advokatrådet, the legal supervisory authority.
