Typical Family to Have More Funds by 2024
A typical Danish family is projected to have 1,800 DKK more per month in 2024 than in the previous year. This increase offsets losses from 2022’s high inflation, giving them 600 DKK more monthly than in 2021, adjusted for inflation. The analysis by Danske Bank’s Louise Aggerstrøm Hansen assumes a family with two working adults and two children in Horsens. The income gain is due to wages rising more than living expenses, with a 5.1% increase expected in 2024 and 3.5% in 2025, plus additional income from the abolition of Great Prayer Day. However, public sector workers and those on welfare benefits will see less improvement.
