Swedish teen jailed after Copenhagen shooting

A 17-year-old Swedish boy was remanded into custody by the court in Frederiksberg following a shooting at a jewelry store. Charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms, he denies the allegations. The incident involved firing at least six shots with a semi-automatic pistol, injuring an 18-year-old male. The police arrested the suspect on Monday evening and found two firearms on the premises of a nearby swimming hall. Investigations suggest a potential accomplice in the shooting. This marks the third recent event where a Swedish teenager has been implicated in shooting incidences in Denmark. The motivation behind the shooting remains unknown. The judiciary has closed doors on the hearing, barring media and public from the minor’s testimony.
