Danish man arrested for brutal robbery in Thailand
A 27-year-old Danish man has been detained in Thailand, along with three Britons – two men and a woman, following a severe robbery involving a British victim, as reported by The Guardian. The incident ensued after the victim was invited to an apartment to continue a party while in Bangkok. There, he was tied with ropes and tape, beaten, and assaulted with a stun gun. The assailants coerced him to inform his girlfriend he would be traveling with friends who would pick up some of his belongings, leading to the theft of items valued at about 570,000 DKK (approximately 76,000 euros). The Danish individual and his British counterparts, residing in Thailand since May, plead not guilty, states The Guardian. Another British woman, suspected in the crime, is on the run after allegedly fleeing Thailand.
