Controversial biogas firm loses millions

In 2024, the controversial biogas company BioCirc has incurred a loss of 200 million kroner, a considerable increase from the previous year’s deficit of 11 million kroner. The company has been publicly embroiled in disputes involving its management, board, and owners since the new year. Five of seven board members attempted to remove CEO Bertel Maigaard over differing leadership views, with Maigaard resisting the ouster.
