Charged: 54-Year-Old Strangled and Stabbed Hanne With
A 54-year-old man is charged with the murder of Hanne With on New Year’s night in 1990. He allegedly killed her with blows or kicks, strangulation with an antenna cable, and several stabs. Advances in DNA technology led to his arrest on February 6 this year, after long-term analysis of DNA found on With’s pants. The DNA was linked to the suspect’s son, who was in the police DNA registry. Despite denying guilt at a court hearing on February 7, where he was remanded in custody, he has voluntarily extended his detention. Details of the breakthrough mentioned by the prosecution remain undisclosed. The court case is not yet scheduled.
