Artificial intelligence opens up all sorts of new possibilities for mass surveillance. It does not always have to be negative. But if the government’s hope is to restore citizens’ trust in the tax authorities, secrecy and obscurantism is the worst strategy. Tax Minister Jeppe Bruus (S) knows this well.
