Region to terminate contracts with controversial clinic

Region Nordjylland plans to terminate contracts with the last four clinics operated by the Alles Lægehus group, as stated in a press release. These clinics, located in Brovst, Dronninglund, Frøstrup, and Hurup, serve nearly 12,000 citizens. Regionsrådsformand Mads Duedahl highlighted that the focus of Alles Lægehus seemed more on making money than patient health. Instances have arisen where Alles Lægehus has billed for additional services that patients claim they never received. Former Alles Lægehus doctors have also admitted to billing for unperformed services. The final decision on the contract termination will be made in August. If concluded, a six-month notice will be given, followed by a search for new doctors to take over the clinics. After similar discoveries, doctors in the Region Hovedstaden must repay 18.9 million DKK, while in Region Syddanmark, the amount totals 1.4 million DKK for incorrect billings in 2023.
