Agedrup school well-being below average
Student well-being at Agedrup School has fallen below the national average, according to recent data from the Ministry of Children and Education. In the last survey, 84.1% of students reported feeling generally satisfied, compared to 87.5% nationally. A few years ago, 92.5% of Agedrup’s students claimed to be content. Currently, the school is at the center of a controversy involving complaints from parents about students’ threatening behavior, including knife threats, drug and alcohol use, sexual harassment, and violence linked to 11-year-olds’ birthdays. The issue came to light when over 100 parents addressed a letter to Education Minister Mattias Tesfaye and Odense Municipality expressing their concerns, which they feel are not being taken seriously by the school’s management.
