Queen Margrethe ready to work after illness

Queen Margrethe appears set to return to her duties after being on sick leave for just over a month, according to B.T., who reviewed the royal calendar. She will present the Ebbe Munck Prize on November 5th at Christiansborg. The 84-year-old queen had been on sick leave since mid-September following a fall at home, resulting in hospitalization. After one day, she was discharged but was expected to have an extended sick leave due to a neck injury and a broken left hand. Ordinarily attending the opening of the Folketing on October 1st, she was absent due to her condition but made an unexpected appearance to meet the Icelandic presidential couple on October 8th. Apart from the aforementioned event, the queen’s calendar shows no other engagements for the rest of the year. The Ebbe Munck Prize is awarded to honor individuals with distinguished work in areas of interest to Ebbe Munck, who passed away in 1974.
