Public sector to vote on agreements by April 15

The collective bargaining process for Danish municipal and regional public employees is concluding. Mediator Lise-Lotte Nilas has set a deadline of April 15 at 1 PM for unions to submit their votes on the mediation proposal, which includes renewals of various work agreements. Results will be announced in the afternoon of the same day. This vote, determined by a majority across unions, follows a tripartite agreement before Christmas addressing salary and work conditions closely linked to the current negotiations, known as OK24. The chairwoman of the Danish Nurses’ Organization, Dorthe Boe Danbjørg, advises members to accept the proposal despite the tripartite funds only applying to regional nurses, excluding municipal nurses. Meanwhile, Morten Skov Christiansen, from the Confederation of Trade Unions, urges members to vote, highlighting the importance of such agreements on working conditions.
