Conservative Leader Søren Pape Passes at 52

Søren Pape Poulsen, the leader of the Conservative Party in Denmark, sadly passed away at the age of 52 after suffering a brain hemorrhage. The party confirmed his death, which occurred after being rushed to Odense University Hospital during a board meeting in the town Vejen. Pape Poulsen had served as the party leader since 2014 and was the Justice Minister from 2016 to 2019. Prior to his leadership, he was the mayor of Viborg. Party Secretary-General Søren Vandsø wrote a heartfelt tribute, praising Pape Poulsen as a caring individual dedicated to improving others’ lives through politics. Pape Poulsen died on a Saturday at 13:13, according to Vandsø. Condolences have been expressed across social media by various politicians, mourning the loss of a respected colleague.
