Action initiated to ban Bandidos biker gang

Danish authorities, announced by Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard, are starting a legal process to ban the Bandidos biker group. Defense lawyer Michael Juul Eriksen, representing Bandidos, was informed of the case initiation. The investigation into the basis for dissolving the group was carried out for months by specialist investigators and prosecutors. Previous success in dissolving the Loyal To Familia (LTF) gang sets a precedent. Bandidos, an older biker club with multiple chapters in the country, is seen expanding, with recent establishment in Aarhus. The Danish Constitution allows assembly in associations, but evidence of illegal intent can lead to dissolution. Minister Hummelgaard underlines the intention to target more criminal groups and seeks an interim ban until the court’s decision. Recently, two Bandidos members were sentenced to 13 years for murder on behalf of higher-ranked individuals convicted of instigating particularly brutal violence.
