PostNord cuts 175 jobs to boost parcel focus

Postal company PostNord is eliminating 175 positions nationwide as part of a new strategy to strengthen its market position in parcel post, according to Fredericia Dagblad. The layoffs include 65 positions at the Taulov freight terminal near Fredericia, PostNord informed Ritzau. The reduction is driven by a desire to focus and simplify the business. Kim Pedersen, chairman of PostNord Logistics, stated that PostNord aims to be the best at handling packages in the Nordic region. While the company already holds a strong stance in today’s parcel market, there is potential for further growth which they plan to achieve in the upcoming years.
