
Denmark’s PM attends virtual Ukraine support summit
Leaders from approximately 25 countries convened in a virtual meeting on Saturday to discuss support for Ukraine, hosted by the UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Denmark’s Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, confirmed attendance, with representation also including 26 countries, the EU, and NATO, according to the British Prime Minister’s office relayed to the BBC. The summit participants also include Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyj and French President Emmanuel Macron. The plan is for the attending nations to agree on being ready to ensure a potential ceasefire. Ahead of the meeting, Starmer accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of delaying peace talks and stressed the need to continue pressing forward and preparing for a secure and sustainable peace.
