Danish Defense Minister seeks to boost drone production in Ukraine

Following a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen visited the war-ravaged country to accelerate the Danish drone production there. Accompanied by 40 Danish defense industry companies, Poulsen aims to enhance the electronic warfare capabilities of Ukraine. He expressed hope to facilitate better collaboration opportunities, with Danish companies either setting up production in Ukraine or partnering with local entities. Earlier in the year, Poulsen stated the importance of drones on the battlefield for Ukraine and the potential assistance Danish firms could provide. He anticipates that some companies will finalize potential collaboration agreements soon, with the expectation that initiatives could begin within months leveraging Danish know-how. Poulsen, who will meet his Ukrainian counterpart, is joined by various Danish political leaders. The duration of their stay is unspecified, but it will be for the next few days near Kyiv.
