Nine years after the Tax Authority discovered the billion-dollar fraud with dividend tax, the main perpetrator, Sanjay Shah, has received a 12-year prison sentence. It is the harshest sentence for economic crime in Denmark thus far. Shah immediately appealed the sentence to the Eastern High Court.
