Trump leads GOP Super Tuesday race

Former President Donald Trump is reported to be the winner of the Republican primary elections in 12 states during Super Tuesday, leaving his challenger Nikki Haley expected to win only in Vermont with 17 delegates at stake. This forecast comes from analysis by Edison Research and Decision Desk HQ, as cited by Reuters. Trump and Haley are competing to become the Republican candidate for the Presidential election in November. Trump celebrated at a Florida event as projections showed victories in California, Minnesota, Colorado, Massachusetts, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Oklahoma, Maine, Tennessee, and Arkansas. On Super Tuesday, voters cast their ballots in 15 states and one U.S. territory, with 874 GOP delegates in contention. A candidate needs 1,215 delegates to secure the party nomination. While polls have Trump far ahead, Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, has vowed to stay in the race until the end.
