Region cancels contracts with controversial clinic
The North Denmark Region has terminated its remaining contracts with four clinics operated by Alles Lægehus. Regional council chairman Mads Duedahl announced the decision, which will affect clinics in Brovst, Dronninglund, Frøstrup, and Hurup serving about 12,000 citizens. No objections during the hearing period influenced their decision. The clinics will be transferred to the region’s responsibility from March and might be run as regional clinics or by a new doctor. Earlier, the Alles Lægehus was exposed by the TV program ‘Kontant’ for billing for services not rendered according to former employees. This has led to broader checks on doctors’ fees, resulting in substantial repayments for unjustified billing in the Capital and Southern Denmark regions.
