25-Year-Old held for grenade possession

A 25-year-old Swedish man is to appear before a magistrate at 09:30 AM on Wednesday at the Frederiksberg Court after being caught with two hand grenades in Tingbjerg, Copenhagen. Copenhagen Police confirmed the incident, including the deployment of the bomb squad, EOD, and dog patrols in the area. The prosecutor will request closed doors during the hearing. Recently, there has been a surge in arrests and charges against Swedish citizens for crimes in Denmark, including a 21-year-old man apprehended in Sweden at the behest of Danish police and two 24-year-old Swedes charged with an attempted grenade attack in Copenhagen. These events have led Denmark to implement stricter border checks with Sweden, increasing police presence on trains entering Denmark from Sweden.
