Ryanair cuts routes from Denmark

Ryanair is reducing the number of flights to and from Denmark next year, with Aalborg Airport losing all flights to London and Costa Brava, reports Check-in.dk. Issues with Boeing deliveries could partly explain the reduction, but Aalborg Airport’s director Niels Hemmingsen suggests multiple factors including performance concerns and an upcoming passenger tax. Ryanair criticized the Danish passenger tax, planning to raise flight costs by 30 DKK in Europe, and prefers to invest in new departures from Sweden instead. Routes from Billund will close this summer, and Aarhus Airport will no longer connect to Faro, Portugal.
