Three new charges for supporting Hamas

Charges have been filed in three additional cases of alleged approval of terrorism in relation to the conflict between Israel and Hamas, totaling four cases. According to Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard, there have been 67 cases of potential violations of laws against supporting terror. Out of these, 51 are still under investigation, with charges laid in seven. The first court case concerning the endorsement of a Hamas attack on Israel last October is due next week. It involves an influencer with over 200,000 social media followers. The law prohibits the public endorsement of terrorism, punishable by fine or imprisonment of up to two years. The Danish police are closely monitoring statements that may constitute support of terrorism according to the penal code.
