Tivoli compensates for fewer nordic visitors
In the first half of 2024, Tivoli Gardens welcomed approximately 1.4 million guests, which is ten percent more than the same period last year despite fewer visitors from Sweden and Norway due to their weakened economies. Tivoli’s director, Susanne Mørch Koch, credits this growth to attracting visitors from other markets, specifically the United States and Germany. Despite challenging weather conditions, Tivoli reported the best summer results in its history and has maintained its financial forecasts. The park also saw a revenue increase of six percent, achieving 455.3 million Danish kroner. Consequently, the park reduced its typical deficit for the period to 63.5 million kroner from last year’s 74.7 million. Tivoli’s business is traditionally seasonal, with expected losses in the first half followed by gains throughout the remainder of the year.
