Nordic Waste owner donates 50M to Ølst Residents

USTC Group, owner of a significant part of the bankrupt company Nordic Waste, is donating the promised 50 million DKK to the citizens of Ølst, as announced in a press release on Thursday. In January, USTC had expressed its intention to establish a climate fund specifically for donating to the residents. The donation will be managed by a new support association under the Ølst Citizen’s Association, which will decide the best use of the funds for the benefit of the community. Chairman Jan K. Jensen highlights the substantial impact this support will have for the residents. The funds will be released after the citizen’s association’s board prepares the groundwork in a general meeting. Nina Østergaard Borris, director of the USTC and daughter of owner Torben Østergaard Nielsen, expressed satisfaction in being able to make a real difference for the citizens affected by the landslide that threatened Ølst and local wildlife earlier this year.
