Firefighters battle blaze from Hezbollah rockets

Northern Israel is ablaze following rocket attacks by Hezbollah, states Reuters. Emergency crews are fighting a fire spreading over a 10 square kilometer area, ignited around 3 AM Tuesday. The Times of Israel notes it will take years to restore the local flora after this forest fire. At least 40 rockets struck Katzrin, with flames reaching surrounding areas, following Israeli strikes against Hezbollah, who claimed to have targeted an Israeli military base in the area. Houses are also on fire, local media reports. Residents near the Lebanon border have been evacuated due to rising tensions with Hezbollah. A historic pistachio tree in a nature reserve, among others over 400 years old, has been damaged. Fires have also erupted in Lebanon due to Israeli attacks.
