Denmark supports Ukraine with 19th donation package
Denmark is prepared to deliver its 19th donation package to Ukraine, including various agreements with allied countries to purchase and donate from their defense industries. The specific amount spent on these purchases has not been disclosed. The donations include support material for F-16 fighter jets, with hopes to deliver the first jets over the summer. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen has discussed the matter with the Foreign Policy Committee. Previously, 1.2 billion DKK were reserved for donations through the Ukrainian defense industry, and direct investments are expected to commence during the summer, making Denmark the first country to invest directly in Ukrainian defense companies. Funds for these actions come from the Ukrainefonden, which has earmarked nearly 65 billion DKK for military support to Ukraine from 2023 to 2028, with over 45 billion DKK already allocated for donations and investments in that timeframe.
