American Airlines to fly daily Copenhagen route

The world’s largest airline, American Airlines, will open a route with daily flights between Copenhagen and Philadelphia in the United States next summer, according to Copenhagen Airport in a press release on Thursday. “It means a lot to American travellers in particular. It will now be even easier for Americans to come to Copenhagen for a holiday,” says Peter Krogsgaard, the airport’s commercial director. The route will be American Airlines’ first to Copenhagen Airport.
     American Airlines is the world’s largest airline by aircraft and passengers. It has over 900 aircraft, which together carry 200 million passengers a year. The route will be plied by Boeing 787-9, which will be put into the route between Copenhagen and Philadelphia. It can fly with up to 285 passengers. /ritzau/
