Angola – OPEC
Angola no longer wishes to be a member of OPEC, the country’s oil minister, Diamantino Azevedo, announced on Thursday, according to Reuters. The reason is said to be that the organisation no longer serves the interests of Angola. “When we participate as a country, it is to contribute and expect results that align with our interests,” he said, according to Yahoo Finance. “When this does not happen, we become redundant and it no longer makes sense for us to remain in the organisation.”
