Denmark and Ukraine agree on weapon production in Denmark
Ukrainian arms manufacturers can now begin production in Denmark after a deal was signed by Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The agreement, announced during a NATO summit in The Hague, supports the establishment of Ukrainian defense companies in Denmark. This collaboration aims to benefit both nations by integrating their defense industries and improving security and combat power. Denmark allocates DKK 500 million to expedite the establishment of Ukrainian defense industry in the country. Specific production locations and products remain unspecified. Lund Poulsen doesn’t anticipate the deal increasing the threat of Russian sabotage or hybrid attacks against Denmark. The agreement forms the foundation for long-term Danish-Ukrainian cooperation, with both countries expecting mutual technological gains and production benefits.
