New Right party files report against ex-leader

The main board of the New Right Party has filed a police report against its former leader Pernille Vermund, now a member of Liberal Alliance, and ex-member Kim Edberg Andersen, now with the Denmark Democrats. The report, which Ekstra Bladet has reviewed, follows Vermund’s attempt to close and dissolve the party in January. The board accuses the two MPs of illegal closure of the party’s parliamentary group and shutting down its bank accounts without resolving financial matters. Kenneth Korsbæk Olsen, organizational chairman of New Right confirms the actions and denounces the closure. Olsen insists the complaint isn’t about revenge but is for the party’s sake. Both Vermund and Andersen have not commented on the matter.
