Actor behind ‘Little Per’ passes away

Ole Neumann, known for his portrayal of Little Per in the original ‘Father of Four’ movies, has died at 77. His life partner, Manja Jurkowsky, confirmed his death to Ekstra Bladet but chose not to disclose the cause of death, stating the funeral will be private. Neumann captivated Danish hearts as the mischievous Little Per, who was always ready for an adventure with his stuffed elephant, Bodil. He famously sang ‘Hej for dig’ and ‘Julebal i Nisseland,’ which became classics in children’s music. Neumann started acting at the age of six but left his acting career at 18 to pursue music. On his 75th birthday, he reflected on having played in a thousand pubs, expressing a preference for rock over performing ‘Father of Four’ songs. He also trained as a photographer in 1967 and worked for the adult magazine ‘Weekend Sex’.
