Danish drone production in Ukraine might get support
Danish company Skywatch is looking positively at the possibility of establishing drone production in Ukraine, said CEO Martin Schousboe, but he emphasizes safety and business risks in a country at war. The need for drones in Ukraine was discussed following a meeting between Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj at a Munich security conference. Poulsen envisions Danish companies aiding by setting up production in Ukraine. Schousboe supports the notion but mentions hurdles, stating that long-term agreements are crucial for such an endeavor. Skywatch currently supplies drones to Ukraine through European donations, but without specifics. Troels Lund Poulsen plans a trip to Ukraine this spring with selected Danish companies to promote cooperation, and Skywatch is interested in joining.
