Man dies in balcony collapse accident in Odense

A man in his forties from Funen has died after a balcony collapsed at a residential building in Odense, as reported by Funen Police. The incident, which occurred during building work on the property, also left two others with minor injuries. Following the collapse at Munkebjerg Park on Friday afternoon, residents were evacuated and later provided with guidance on rehousing options and crisis support at an evacuation center. The center was closed by Friday evening, but inhabitants were advised to contact the police if needed. Authorities, including the Labor Inspectorate and Funen Police investigators, worked on-site to secure access routes and determine the accident’s cause and extent. Safety assurances were given for neighboring buildings, allowing residents to use their homes as usual. Investigations are expected to continue into Saturday.
