Danish family evacuated from Gaza

On Wednesday, a three-member Danish family was successfully evacuated from Gaza to Egypt, as announced by Denmark’s Foreign Ministry. This marks the evacuation of all Danish citizens willing and able to leave Gaza from the list, while some who either cannot or do not want to leave remain. The family met with Danish embassy staff at the Egypt border and will soon travel to Denmark from Cairo. Initial evacuations began on November 12, with further evacuations on November 14 and December 3. The conflict in Gaza has escalated since Hamas initiated attacks on Israel on October 7, leading to Israeli bombardments to counter Hamas. Food, water, and medicine shortages have worsened, and WHO warns of Gaza’s population facing starvation without adequate humanitarian aid.
