Ex-Danish MP Christian Langballe terminally ill

Former Danish People’s Party MP and priest Christian Langballe is terminally ill with cancer, according to an interview with Kristeligt Dagblad. Diagnosed with a brain tumor, Langballe has been told he has less than a year to live. He revealed his diagnosis to his family over dinner with a good bottle of wine, emphasizing the importance of discussing and saying important things before it’s too late. Langballe, who is 57 years old and resides in Foulum, served in the parliament from 2011-2019 but was not re-elected in 2019. He was known for his straightforward political style and critical analysis of his party’s disappointing election results in 2019. Married to regional council member Lone Langballe, he has three children, one grandchild, and another on the way.
