Lawyer criticized after documentary probe

Lawyer Nicolai Dyhr from Horten law firm faced criticism in an external review prompted by the documentary ‘The Black Swan’. The review, conducted by Birgitte Jørgensen from Dahl Law Firm, assessed Dyhr’s role in 12 cases, finding conflict of interest as curator and/or administrator in three cases, and potential breaches of professional conduct in four. However, there was no evidence of criminal actions or intentional asset misappropriation for Dyhr. No further investigations into other cases or employees were suggested. Horten, acknowledging the criticism, plans to reach out to affected parties and has implemented new guidelines for handling bankruptcy estates. The firm’s director, Anders Bager Jensen, apologized for Dyhr’s conduct, asserting new initiatives will strengthen internal processes to prevent such incidents. ‘The Black Swan’ revealed grave crimes like money laundering and illegal waste disposal, capturing Dyhr advising criminals on fraud.
