Støjberg shows understanding for israeli attacks
Inger Støjberg, the leader of the Danish Democrats, expressed understanding for Israel’s attacks in Gaza, which have resulted in hundreds of deaths. She stated that it is comprehensible that Israel is attacking Hamas due to the captivity of approximately 60 hostages under dismal conditions, about 25 of whom are believed to still be alive. After a ceasefire in January, a period of relative calm was shattered on Tuesday when Israel conducted a series of airstrikes. Støjberg highlighted that Israel, like any country, would protect its citizens, and condemned Hamas for notoriously using civilians as shields. According to Palestinian health authorities under Hamas control, the attacks have claimed over 400 lives. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the attacks on Gaza were just the beginning and emphasized the importance of military pressure on Hamas for the release of hostages.
