Denmark donates extra 2 billion DKK to Ukraine

Denmark has announced an additional donation of around 2 billion Danish kroner to Ukraine, coinciding with the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion. This contribution marks Denmark’s 24th support package, totaling 55.5 billion Danish kroner in aid since the conflict began. The funds will ensure ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers and help build a Ukrainian brigade-sized unit in cooperation with Nordic and Baltic countries. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasizes Denmark’s unwavering support and the need for continued aid, calling Ukraine’s fight a defense for all of Europe. In her sixth visit to the war-torn nation, she insists on pushing for more weapons deliveries and investments in Ukraine’s defense industry, stressing the moment’s significance for future generations in Ukraine and Europe.
