Danish company scores major NATO contract

Danish software company Systematic has won an international contract to supply NATO with a software solution for the next 12 years. The contract is worth 212 million DKK and entails a two-year implementation and training phase, followed by a maintenance period. Systematic’s software called SitaWare, already in use by around 50 countries including 17 NATO members, is a command-and-control system that facilitates rapid decision-making on missions. According to Army Captain Morten Kirkegaard, the system significantly enhances communication speed, akin to upgrading from sending letters to emails. The CEO, Nikolaj Bramsen, sees the strategic importance of this deal, highlighting SitaWare’s open solution that allows for immediate sharing of information across units. Systematic, founded in 1985, provides IT solutions in defense, healthcare, and digitalization, employs over 1000 people, and reported a post-tax profit of 204 million DKK for the fiscal year 2022/2023.
