Public EV charging points doubled in a year

In Denmark, the number of public EV charging stations has nearly doubled from 12,500 to 22,820 in the past year, Mobility Denmark reports. The organization highlights the importance of robust charging infrastructure for the adoption and convenience of electric vehicles. There are now about 10.7 EVs for every charging point, improved from 14 EVs per point as of September 2022. The total number of electric vehicles has increased by 79% since last May, reaching close to 246,900. Mobility Denmark recently announced the count has surpassed 250,000. DI Bilbranchen and Mobility Denmark advocate initiatives to maintain low taxes on EVs and propose ‘laderet,’ ensuring residents without personal charging solutions can request public charging facilities near their home.
