Social Democratic spokesperson disagrees with minister on Uber
Social Democrat tax spokesperson Anders Kronborg challenged Transport Minister Thomas Danielsen’s hints at an Uber return to Denmark, as reported to Ekstra Bladet. Kronborg, disagreeing with Danielsen’s ‘bombastic statement,’ argued that Uber had previously fostered unfair competition. In contrast, Danielsen spoke to Politiken, acknowledging Uber’s potential to address mobility challenges without committing to any specific models. He also criticized the current reliance on buses in parts of the country as unsustainable, suggesting alternatives such as flexible transportation, car-sharing, and pooling. The government has appointed an expert panel to recommend new collective transport solutions, aiming to conclude its work by late 2024.
