Nordea calls DSV for meeting on Russian freight issue
Nordea has summoned logistics company DSV to a meeting after revelations that DSV has shipped goods to and through Russia, contrary to their promises. According to FinansWatch.se, Nordea, through Nordea Asset Management, holds shares worth 572 million euros in DSV. Nordea takes the adherence to human rights principles, conventions, and sanctions seriously. DSV admitted to transporting goods against their internal guidelines and is investigating personal consequences. Initially, DSV had stated they would no longer use Russian railways after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Nordea joins other investors in demanding answers from DSV. No sanctions violations were found in DSV’s own review, though transportation through Russia is not against international sanctions, delivering services in Russia is prohibited.
