Secret recording played in politician’s blackmail case

In Copenhagen City Court, a secret audio recording was played featuring a conversation between a 30-year-old nurse and a member of the Danish Parliament (Folketingsmedlem). The nurse is accused of unlawful coercion and attempted unlawful coercion towards the politician. The clip is key evidence, as it was during this meeting that she allegedly attempted to blackmail the parliamentarian to use his influence to benefit an organization she founded. The incriminating meeting occurred at Café Pulp in Copenhagen at the end of March, shortly after a supposed sexual encounter between them. The nurse threatened to publish intimate images and explicit correspondence exchanged with the politician if he did not meet with her. The politician’s identity is protected by a court-issued confidentiality order. Another court session on February 3 is set to continue reviewing the recording.
