President Alexander Lukashenko was reportedly admitted to a presidential hospital in the country’s capital, Minsk, on Saturday. This is reported by independent Belarusian surveillance media, according to the Institute for War Studies (ISW) think tank in Washington D.C. The hospitalization was said to have occurred around 19:00 local time on Saturday. Two hours later, the 68-year-old president’s motorcade left the hospital, according to ISW. The president’s condition is unknown as of Sunday afternoon, but he has not been seen in public since Tuesday, when he was in Moscow. Then he was in the Russian capital to mark Victory Day, when Russians celebrate the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany during World War II. /ritzau/
