There is only one reshuffle that can solve the Liberal Party’s problem: The ministerial reshuffle is a reminder of how weak the Liberals have been in the first year of SVM government cooperation. Even the most critical observer of the Liberal Party’s participation in the SVM government cannot escape the inevitable conclusion that, after the reshuffle on Thursday, the Liberal Party’s ministerial team has been strengthened compared with the team the party fielded in the first year of the government. But even a promising reshuffle has not changed the party’s basic problem, which is government participation itself.
