The case of the six-year-old sick boy with Danish citizenship, who is sitting in a camp in Syria, is fraught with difficult dilemmas. But the government should realise that, unfortunately, our obligations as a state, by virtue of the boy’s age, extend to his mother. And then the matter should give rise to a review of the granting of citizenship.
