Booking.com: We fully understand the frustration
Danish hoteliers have outstanding payments from hotel portal Booking.com, which acknowledges that a small number of payments are delayed. The delayed payments to Danish customers of Booking.com are due to unforeseen technical problems. And the platform regrets the inconvenience it has caused to the Danish customers, according to a statement from Booking.com’s acting country manager Christina Jacobsen to the Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov. He has told several media outlets that he is outraged by the company’s behavior. “We deeply regret the delay and the significant inconvenience it has caused to affected partners,” Booking.com said.
In addition, to being owed money, hotel owners have reported that the accommodations have not been able to get in touch with the portal about the problems. Jacobsen said that in July Booking.com resumed payments to the “majority” of her customers. However, for an “overall small number”, payments have been delayed due to unforeseen technical problems. Almost 200 hotels have contacted the Danish Chamber of Commerce about non-payment from the platform. /ritzau/
