Police in London arrested six people on Sunday on suspicion of disrupting trading on the London Stock Exchange, the Metropolitan Police wrote in a post on X. They also wrote that the six arrested are all members of the activist group “Palestine Action” and that they are now in custody. The six were arrested in Liverpool, London and Brighton. The investigation began, according to the Metropolitan Police, after they received information from the British media Daily Express on Friday. “I am grateful to the Daily Express that the Daily Express gave us information from their own investigation,” Detective Inspector Sian Thomas said in a statement. According to Thomas, the information helped track down the suspects. The group’s intention was apparently to prevent the exchange from being able to open for trading on Monday. /ritzau/
