Party opposes its own ad labeling proposal

The Social Democrats, led by spokesperson Karin Graasted, is set to vote against a bill it initially proposed concerning the labeling of retouched advertising images and videos. The opposition stems from a waiting period on a more comprehensive review of marketing laws, aiming to include a broader range of stakeholders under the legislation, including influencers. However, Nilas Monberg, a senior lawyer, suggests current draft legislation could already apply to influencers. Graasted also points to ensuring the measures adhere to the scope of EU laws. Karina Lorentzen Dehnhardt from Green Left criticizes the move, noting the EU law compatibility has already been determined and accuses The Social Democrats of abandoning their proposal due to political rivalry.
