26-Year-Old SF candidate tops votes, surpassing Løkkegaard

SF’s lead candidate, Kira Marie Peter-Hansen, emerged as the top vote-getter in the EU elections after the final tally from Copenhagen’s polling stations. With 178,438 personal votes, she exceeded the vote count of Venstre’s lead candidate, Morten Løkkegaard, who received 174,048 votes. The election results were provided by the IT company KMD. Expressing her gratitude, Peter-Hansen stated she was incredibly touched, highlighting the great trust and responsibility bestowed upon her by individual voters. Despite Morten Løkkegaard leading as top scorer for most of the day, it was the final counts from a few districts in Copenhagen that pushed Peter-Hansen ahead.
